You are familiar with technology businesses, their associated business models, and the financing options at various stages of company maturity. Ideally, you’ve been close to or previously involved in merger & acquisition or growth equity financings. And, we’re technology enthusiasts here, so you’re an early adopter.

Your role at GCA will be two-fold: Your primary responsibly will be driving comprehensive research projects from genesis to delivery. For example: Research and categorize all of the public and private equity financings involving cloud service businesses by region. You might then compare their industry vertical focus, their horizontal versus vertical emphasis, and their financial metrics, including growth, profitability, and implied value. In this case, the final product would be research content for the GCA website or client deal materials, together with commentary and analysis.

The second part of this position will be assisting with client transactions. For example, you may have to build forward-looking pro-forma financial model to justify valuation and future performance, including accompanying income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.

You’re a wizard with Excel, an able writer, and great at putting together compelling presentations with Keynote or PowerPoint – including appropriately developed graphics and summary charts.

Education / Experience:

• Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Commerce undergraduate degree required
• CFA, CFA candidacy, CBV, or CBV Candidacy, or CA ideal
• Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Institutional Research, Consulting, or Corporate Development favoured, but other technology company backgrounds will be considered
