Brent has been in the technology industry in Western Canada since 1994. He has worked as Founder and manager of an Internet start-up, been a seed fund investment manager, raised a VC fund with two partners, invested in over 35 start-up and early stage companies across North America, predominantly in the Northwest, and has over five years of direct M&A advisory experience in the technology sector. Having been on “all sides of the table”, Brent has a unique perspective on creating value for all of the constituents in a transaction.

Brent is known as having an encyclopedic mind for technology companies and people, which makes him a great connector and facilitator of transactions. He puts tons of his energy into the technology ecosystem in Canada as well as for his clients in every engagement.

A graduate of Western University (Bachelor of Science) and UBC (M.B.A.), Brent is also a writer with a history of tech oriented publications dating back to 1998.

Brent spends any of his free time with his wife and two kids, one in high school and one in Engineering at Queen’s.
