Jaafer loves ideas and innovation, especially the digital kind. He is currently an Executive-In-Residence at Garibaldi focused on assessing and advising growth stage companies and holds a similar role at Communitech advising early stage companies. Previously, Jaafer co-founded Carbyn, a mobile OS (acquired by Synacor in 2012) and was a founding partner at ScrapHD (acquired by Michaels Stores in 2010). He is a LP with CrunchFund and prior to his entrepreneurial adventures Jaafer started his career as a management consultant with Accenture advising ICT and Digital Media companies such as AOL, Warner Bros., AT&T, and Bell Canada. He has spoken or been published/covered in Digital Hollywood, CTIA Wireless, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Financial Post, Yahoo, and others and was honoured with Top 40 under 40 recognition.
